Gaylord National's ICE! featuring DreamWorks' Merry Madagascar Review and $3 Off Promo Codes

If you live in DC Metro area or want to get away for a quick trip, I highly recommend taking your family to see Gaylord National's ICE! featuring DreamWorks' Merry Madagascar. From Nov. 18 to Jan. 8, the DreamWorks Animation holiday TV special will be brought to life in an interactive world of colorful ice sculptures carved entirely from TWO-MILLION pounds of ice.

Relive the story as you stroll through this amazing attraction featuring scenes such as how Santa and his reindeer crash-landed onto the island of Madagascar, and why Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melman and the wacky penguins must figure out how to save Christmas by delivering all the presents themselves. This is a one-of-a-kind experience.

Here is video footage and photos from our trip to Gaylord National's ICE!

There are many dining choices and fun things to do at Gaylord National. We ended up eating at National Pastime Bar & Grill, which is located inside of Gaylord National. I had the best BBQ Pork sandwich that I have ever tasted!  My husband and kids enjoyed watching football on the 30-foot video wall. Then we watched the lighting of the 60-foot glass Tree of Light, fountain show with dancing fountains that shoot 60-feet high, indoor snowfall and we even had a chance to meet Santa (all featured in the video above)! The tree lighting, indoor snowfall and fountain show occur nightly from 6:30pm-6:45pm in the lower atrium of the hotel.

Here is a sample itinerary to get you started:

ArrivalGaylord National Self-Parking is located at the rear of the hotel; follow the signs for “Official ICE! Parking”.  From parking, proceed inside the ICE! Pavilion, located across the street.
