Philadelphia Cream Cheese for $.19 at Target & Layered Taco Dip Recipe

I just picked up two packages of Philadelphia Cream Cheese for $.19 each at Target with this printable coupon. The Philadelphia Cream Cheese is on sale at Target for $1.19 right now.

I also wanted to share one of my favorite "party" recipes that calls for cream cheese with you. It is always a big hit and it is very easy to make.

Layered Taco Dip

Ingredients:
- 1 (1 ounce) package of taco seasoning mix
- 1 (16 ounce) can of refried beans
- 1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
- 1 (16 ounce) container of sour cream
- 1 (16 ounce) jar of salsa
- 1 bunch of chopped green onions
- 1 small head of iceberg lettuce, shredded
- Optional: Shredded jalapenos to taste
- 1 (6 ounce) can of sliced black olives, drained
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
In a small bowl, blend the taco seasoning mix and refried beans. Spread the mixture into the bottom of a trifle bowl or a similar type of bowl.

Mix the sour cream and softened cream cheese in a medium bowl. Spread over the refried beans.

Top the layers with salsa. Place a layer of green onions and lettuce over the salsa. Optional: Add shredded jalapenos to taste. Top with the cheddar cheese. Garnish with the drained black olives.

Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours before serving and serve with tortilla chips.

Target - Special Hours for Stores Affected by Snowstorm

If your local Target store was affected by the East Coast snowstorm, click here to view their special hours that will run until December 23rd.

Target (NYSE:TGT) announced today that the majority of its stores in markets affected by the heavy snowstorm along the East Coast, including all stores in Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut, and Rhode Island and many stores in Pennsylvania, New York and Massachusetts will operate extended holiday hours the week before Christmas. Beginning Monday, December 21 through Wednesday, December 23 Target stores in these areas will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight to allow our guests' additional time to complete their holiday shopping.

"We understand that the shopping plans for many of our guests in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast during this weekend before Christmas were affected by the severe storm," said Troy Risch, executive vice president, Stores. "To give these guests more opportunity to make all their holiday purchases, the majority of our stores in hard hit areas will open one hour earlier than originally planned and remain open until midnight."
As previously announced, all stores nationwide will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on December 26 for post-holiday bargain hunters.

My kids were so excited when Holly & Hal arrived on our doorstep! This antlered sibling duo, along with their book, Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure, have been keeping my kids entertained.

My youngest son has been busy dressing and undressing Holly and Hal... from Hal's snow goggles to Holly's signature jacket.
