Burger King - Dash & Dine Promotion and Gift Card Giveaway

Burger King has teamed up with Visa to offer a Dash and Dine promotion through March.  Pay with your Visa card at participating Burger King restaurants and you could win! Customers who use their Visa card at participating Burger King restaurants have a chance to eat for FREE!  Thousands will eat for FREE up to $25. Many will win 50x the cost of their meal - value of $500! 
 
All customers who visit participating Burger King restaurants until March 1 and pay with a Visa card will be entered into the sweepstakes.  Every day, 50 winners will be selected to “eat free” on Burger King and Visa, by receiving the cost of their meal (up to $25).  During Dash and Dine hours (Tuesday and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.), two winners will win 50x the cost of their meal! Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

We were warned days ahead about the blizzard that headed to Maryland on Friday.  We scurried around at the last minute to stock our refrigerator shelves!  The warm weather on Friday bought us a few extra hours as it prevented the snow from sticking to the road.  On Friday evening the snow began to stick.  Even as I took this picture on Friday night, it was hard to believe that we could get up to 36" inches.  We have not had a storm like this in years.


This is what it looked like when I went to sleep on Friday night (pictured to the left) and this is what it looked like when I woke up on Saturday morning (pictured to the right).  It continued to snow throughout the day until we topped off at just over 2 feet of snow.  The kids had a great time playing in the snow as my husband and I shoveled our driveway.

We were tuned in to the news for endless hours as we awaited the storm the night before.  Our local Fox 5 DC new channel caught our attention when they began broadcasting live streams of video from viewers in the DC Metro area.  This was made possible through a FREE program offered by Ustream.tv.  I logged on in the morning, created a FREE account and put the camera on my husband as he shoveled away!  Once you have setup a show in a few clicks, you are given a URL to share with your friends and family.  I sent my URL to Fox 5 and received a call from them in less than a minute.  Within about 5 minutes they were broadcasting my live video feed as I spoke with them on air over the phone.  I still have my camera and live feed setup, but it is 10:30pm and there is not much going on in front of my house!  If you want to tune in, visit my live  feed at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/2010-blizzard-with-savingqueen-com-in-maryland.  If you have a webcam, I encourage you to try it out.  There was a wedding being streamed live earlier today.  Now, we are watching as the space shuttle prepares for take off at 4:30am EST on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/spacevidcast
